Get ready to relive your childhood at Dallas Afterschool‘s signature fundraiser – Recess! This event offers a grown up twist to your favorite elementary school past time. Come enjoy gourmet food, music, schoolyard games, and even “adult” juice boxes. And of course, the famous sandbox stocked with $10,000 worth of prizes. So come dressed in your best schoolyard chic attire and join in the fun at Recess this Friday night!

Dallas Afterschool is a non profit organization working to better afterschool sites around Dallas. Low income students experience up to 6,000 fewer hours learning than their middle class peers – creating an overwhelming achievement gap. It’s crucial that low income students have quality afterschool programs to help reduce the gap. Dallas Afterschool works to inform, train, support and evaluate afterschool programs that serve low-income youth in our community.
