Pop the Champagne! Welcome Jenna!

Pop Parties is GROWING! I am SO excited that I can finally announce a wonderful full time addition to our team!

Many of you know her already from working on your own parties and events, but I am elated that she will be joining our team in a larger, more expanded role.

Please help me welcome, Pop’s very first employee (besides myself), Jenna Fields!Pop Parties

Our love story: (yes, Jenna and I have a love story – although I’m not sure she knows it)

Jenna was a student at the University of North Texas while I was Director of Sales for two great venues in Dallas. The team was looking to expand and adjust roles, which meant we needed help and it was my job to handle interviews. Jenna interviewed for that job, and unfortunately she didn’t get it in the end. (One mans loss is anothers gain, right?) I knew that I had to have Jenna on my team eventually, even though I wasn’t sure what that meant at the time.

While working for the venue I also did a few events a year on the “side” because I still really loved full service planning and designing events. I asked Jenna if she would assist me on those events to gain some more experience in the field she really wanted to be in. Her graduation day rolled around and she needed a job, one that I wasn’t ready to offer just yet. Her Hospitality Management degree at UNT landed her a great first step with a national linen retailer. She’s had the pleasure to design events and select colors and linens for several wonderful events over the last year and a half.

Because, like me, she is a hustler, she worked on the side – for me – after I launched Pop Parties just over a year ago. Her support and determination, coupled with her ability to quickly problem solve and learn along the way have made her a huge asset as Pop has grown. I am SO excited to have her on my team full time, and I know that my clients, and hers feel the same way.

I asked Jenna:

What is your favorite color?: Pink

What do you do when you aren’t working? Enjoying time with friends and family, normally over a glass of wine or binge watching a Netflix series.

One thing you can’t get through the day without is: Caffeine, coffee or tea will do.

What is your favorite special event memory? There so many great things about the events that I have had the opportunity to be a part of, but my favorite part of any event is seeing the host and their guests having a great time. If you can create a memorable atmosphere that is inviting and captures your client’s personality, that is a success story!

Why did you want to become an event planner? High School was when I truly had thought about being an event planner, but being from a small town and not really knowing what opportunities there actually were I threw that career path to the side and opted to pursue a career as a lawyer. In college, I started volunteering to be on planning committees for fundraising events and soon realized it was something that I truly enjoyed. I quickly changed my thinking of going to law school and majored in Business and Hospitality Management.

Favorite guilty pleasure TV show? How I Met Your Mother, it is the ultimate RomCom!

XOXO

Molly

Exceeded all of my

very high

expectations

The entire Pop Parties team is the most organized, communicative, and on-it team I have encountered Their response time is unbelievable and made my entire wedding day stress-free. Not one detail was missed, and the wedding was the most beautiful and fun evening. They maintained professionalism, while also feeling like a close friend through the entire process. I could not recommend them enough.
