Classic Wedding Style: Blush/Navy and Gold

Kristen, a graduate of UT, and Kyle, a graduate of Texas A&M, have long been rivals – that is until some mutual friends introduced the two . Shortly after meeting, their love sparked and they were able to put their rivalries aside (until game day that is) for a more wonderful life together as husband and wife.

So, in July 2015, they vacationed off to Park City, Utah in the temperate climate of the Wasatch Mountains where they fly fished in the Provo River, zip-lined their way down Sundance Mountain resort, and visited the shops and restaurants along Main Street. Knowing that Kristen is terrified of heights, Kyle thought it would be a great idea to schedule a hot air balloon adventure.  Kristen did not understand why our private balloon basket was so much smaller and scarier than the other balloon’s group baskets, or why we had to wake up at 5 AM on a vacation day.  Once in the basket, Kristen began to cry immediately. They hadn’t left the ground yet.  Soon after they started up in the air, Kyle forced her to look down to see the “Marry Me” banner he had secretly laid out the ground. Though Kristen didn’t fully understand what was happening at first, after her third re-read of the banner, she realized this was the proposal and started crying even more.  She forgot to say “Yes,” so Kyle had to remind her that a verbal response was required.  After an hour-long flight above the mountains and a safe landing back on the ground, we celebrated with a Champagne toast, and Kristen has been staring at her ring ever since.

The two were wed in a traditional christian ceremony at First United Methodist Church Dallas, with a reception following at Dallas’ historic Scottish Rite Cathedral. The girls sipped bubbly all morning and prepped for what was going to be a gorgeous classic wedding, full of love and laughter. Kristen says  her favorite part of the big day was: “Our first look and seeing each other for the first time. It was such a special moment and it put all my nerves at ease.”

Kristen’s romantic and classic wedding style  incorporated her favorite colors of blush and gold, with a navy accent to really make things pop. Their big day was filled with endless details, a stunning traditional ballroom setting, and a dress fit for a princess.
