Moody Mixed Metals Wedding

This week we’re looking back at one of our favorite 2017 weddings – with lush greenery and mixed metals, Meredith and Austin’s November nuptials were to die for. This classic wedding was made dramatically different with dark plum accents throughout the floral and a fun lit backdrop for the band stage. The checkered dance floor only added to our classic with a twist theme. The bride’s love of texture inspired the mixture of moody metals and greenery to make each table pop. Meredith did all of her own calligraphy and the invitations – adding the perfect personal touch. One of our favorite personal touches of the night? The customized drink coasters on every table!

Meredith and Austin wanted the focus of their big day to be on the people who love and support them as a couple. The couple wanted everyone to feel just as loved as they felt. Following their traditional Christian ceremony, guest geared up to celebrate. The Project Band kept the crowd on their feet all night!

After asking her father’s permission, Austin got to work planning an elaborate proposal full of surprises, friends, and family. Austin informed Meredith that he would be going to a ranch with some buddies just outside of Dallas on Friday, but would be back in time to pick me up for a “cocktail hour and dinner” Saturday evening. Upon arriving at said dinner, Meredith saw a beautiful garden archway where the date and note sat just inside. Meredith continued to follow the notes until she was led to a gazebo where she met up with Austin. After a kiss and some sweet words, Austin finally proposed!

But the surprises weren’t over. The newly engaged couple headed over to tell Meredith’s parents the good news only to be met with 30 of the closest friends and family. When they decided to drop by a friend’s later that night, they were again met with 100 friends who they spent the rest of the night celebrating with.
