Blue Hues in the City

The end of summer might have us feeling a little blue, but this blue hues styled shoot definitely doesn’t! The 400 Ervay was the perfect location to showcase pretty blue hues in the city. This cityscape shoot was designed around an existing chandelier structure, which serves as ambient lighting for the rooftop space. The chandelier allows us to show how to use existing space so that it functions in new, creative ways. For the shoot we placed two tables on either side of the box, making it the new tables centerpiece. We had a custom watercolor tabletop designed to bride the gaps for the most functionality.

Soft textures of navy linen and steel colored banquette seating accent the sharp lines from neighboring buildings of the downtown backdrop. The contrast from the soft textures and sharp lines creates a cool modern space. The place settings contributed to the modern vibe of the table. Mixed metals with graphite flatware, rock napkin rings, and silver dinnerware accented the blue and silver hues played off of from both venue and cityscape alike.

 

Who else is getting Carrie Bradshaw vibes from this bridal look!? The custom Nardos Design blue and white gown inspired the hues used for the shoot to compliment the cool metals of downtown buildings. The reception gown’s blue accents are perfect for a nontraditional bride who truly wants to make a statement!
